Copper(I) acetate

Copper acetate is an organic copper salt of acetic acid with chemical formula.
Under standard conditions, copper acetate is an air-sensitive colorless white solid.

Synthesis

Copper acetate is produced by the reaction of copper metal and copper(II) acetate in acetonitrile.

Application

Copper acetate is used as a catalyst for the oxidation of phenols.
