Constituent and Parliamentary Assembly
The Constituent and Parliamentary Assembly, was the unicameral parliament of the Syria from 1961 until its dissolution after the Baath coup in 1963. One of its tasks was to adopt a new constitution following Syria's secession from the United Arab Republic in addition to being a national legislature. After the new constitution was adopted on September 13, 1962, the assembly became a pure legislateive Parliament.
