Come Out Fighting (radio drama)


Come Out Fighting is a 1950 Australian radio drama by Ralph Peterson.
Peterson used it as an inspiration for his highly successful stage play The Square Ring.
Several real boxing commentators were used.

Premise

A truck driver, Greg Mason, becomes a champion boxer to support his mother and younger sister. His manager and trainer, Mike Williams, sees Greg a representative of what Mike wants to be. Williams' daughter Chris worries about Greg. Greg's mother is unsympathetic to her son's boxing career as her husband was killed in a fight.
