Chauvigné is located at northeast of Rennes and south of the Mont Saint-Michel.The communes bordering are Tremblay, Saint-Marc-le-Blanc, Le Tiercent, Saint-Christophe-de-Valains, Vieux-Vy-sur-Couesnon and Romazy.
