Charles Tessier
Charles Tessier was a French composer and lutenist.
At the end of the 16th century he was in England where he made efforts to obtain a patron.
While in England he set sonnets from Astrophel and Stella dedicated to Lady Penelope Rich. He published a book of songs in London in 1597. The printed songs were arranged for a vocal ensemble, but some of them have also survived as lute songs.
