Charles Sage


Charles "Charlie" Sage was a Welsh rugby union and professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1920s. He played representative level rugby union for Glamorgan County RFC, and at club level for Mountain [Ash RFC], and representative level rugby league for Wales, and at club level for Hunslet, as a or.

Early life

Born in Wales, Sage emigrated to the United States in 1910, and later moved to Canada. He joined the Canadian Army during the First [World War], and saw service in France. He returned to Wales after the war ended.

International honours

Charlie Sage won caps for Wales while at Hunslet in 1925 against England.
