Chang King-yuh

Chang King-yuh is a Taiwanese political scientist and lawyer. He was Minister of the Mainland Affairs Council of the Executive Yuan from 28 February 1996 to 31 January 1999.

Early life and education

Chang was born in China to Shao Chu Chang and Hsi-chen Huang. He graduated from National Taiwan University with a bachelor's degree in law in 1958 and earned a master's degree in diplomacy from National Chengchi University in 1961. He then completed graduate studies in the United States at Columbia University, where he earned a Master of Laws in comparative law from Columbia Law School in 1964 and then his Ph.D. in political science in 1971. His doctoral dissertation was titled, "The United Nations and decolonization 1960-1968: the role of the committee of twenty-four".

Chang was the President of National Chengchi University from 1989 to 1994.
