Chad Rigetti


Chad Rigetti is a Canadian physicist and entrepreneur who was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.

Education

From 1998 to 2002, Chad Rigetti studied physics at the University of Regina. He graduated the program with a Bachelor of Science degree in physics, made the dean's honor list.
From 2002 to 2009, Chad Rigetti studied applied physics at Yale University and graduated with a PhD. During his PhD Rigetti focused on the experimental and theoretical study of superconducting circuits for quantum computation, circuit fabrication with nanolithography, and quantum information theory.
According to his Google Scholar profile, Dr. Rigetti has authored more than 140 publications in the fields of quantum mechanics and quantum computing.

Rigetti Computing

After working at IBM in the area of quantum computing, Rigetti founded the eponymous Rigetti Computing in 2013. He served as the company's chief executive officer from its founding in 2013 until 2022.

Sygaldry

Chad Rigetti is the co-founder and chief executive officer of Sygaldry. Sygaldry is building quantum-accelerated AI servers to exponentially speed up training and inference. They are creating the tools to integrate quantum capabilities into AI models and workflows, delivering the infrastructure for quantum superintelligence.
