Centerton is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Morgan County, Indiana|Clay Township], Morgan County, in the U.S. state of Indiana.
History
Centerton was laid out in 1854. A post office was established at Centerton in 1854, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1893.Geography
Centerton is located northeast of the center of Morgan County. Indiana [State Road 67] runs along the western edge of the community, leading south to Martinsville, the county seat, and north to Mooresville. Downtown Indianapolis is to the northeast.According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the Centerton CDP has an area of, all land. The community is in the valley of the White River, which passes to the south.
