Carp River (Luce County, Michigan)

The Carp River is a short stream in the northeast corner of Luce County on Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. It flows west from the outlet of Browns Lake to its mouth on Lake Superior. The total channel length is about 1.2 miles.

Course

The river begins at the outlet of Browns Lake in northern Luce County and runs generally west through low dunes, wetlands, and forest before entering Lake Superior along the remote shoreline between Whitefish Point and Grand Marais.
