Camp Pendleton Mainside is a census-designated place in San Diego County, California, located at the southeast corner of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. Per the 2020 census, the population was 9,683. It was formerly known as Camp Pendleton North, but its name was changed for the 2020 Census. Along with Camp Pendleton South, it is one of two CDPs located on the base.

The 2020 United States census reported that Camp Pendleton Mainside had a population of 9,683. The population density was. The racial makeup of Camp Pendleton Mainside was 74.1% White, 11.2% African American, 1.4% Native American, 4.2% Asian, 1.3% Pacific Islander, 2.4% from other races, and 5.4% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 30.0% of the population.The census reported that 28.3% of the population lived in households, 69.2% lived in non-institutionalized group quarters, and 2.5% were institutionalized.
There were 841 households, out of which 65.8% included children under the age of 18, 88.2% were married-couple households, 0.7% were cohabiting couple households, 6.7% had a female householder with no partner present, and 4.4% had a male householder with no partner present. 4.2% of households were one person, and 0.1% were one person aged 65 or older.
