Camp Pendleton Mainside is a census-designated place in San Diego County, California, located at the southeast corner of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. Per the 2020 census, the population was 9,683. It was formerly known as Camp Pendleton North, but its name was changed for the 2020 Census. Along with Camp Pendleton South, it is one of two CDPs located on the base.

The 2020 United States census reported that Camp Pendleton Mainside had a population of 9,683. The population density was. The racial makeup of Camp Pendleton Mainside was 74.1% White, 11.2% African American, 1.4% Native American, 4.2% Asian, 1.3% Pacific Islander, 2.4% from other races, and 5.4% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 30.0% of the population.
The census reported that 28.3% of the population lived in households, 69.2% lived in non-institutionalized group quarters, and 2.5% were institutionalized.
There were 841 households, out of which 65.8% included children under the age of 18, 88.2% were married-couple households, 0.7% were cohabiting couple households, 6.7% had a female householder with no partner present, and 4.4% had a male householder with no partner present. 4.2% of households were one person, and 0.1% were one person aged 65 or older. The average household size was 3.26. There were 796 families.
The age distribution was 11.1% under the age of 18, 67.2% aged 18 to 24, 19.8% aged 25 to 44, 1.1% aged 45 to 64, and 0.8% who were 65years of age or older. The median age was 21.9years. For every 100 females, there were 308.2 males.

The racial makeup of Camp Pendleton North was 3,730 White, 501 African American, 83 Native American, 151 Asian, 80 Pacific Islander, 305 from other races, and 350 from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1,157 persons.

The Camp Pendleton property does not have any Department of Defense Education Activity schools. The Fallbrook HSD operates Fallbrook High School. OUSD on-post properties of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton are assigned to Oceanside High School.
