Calliandra haematomma


Calliandra haematomma is a species of flowering plants of the genus Calliandra in the family Fabaceae. It is a shrub native to the Caribbean, including the Bahamas, Cuba, Hispaniola, Jamaica, the Leeward Islands, and Puerto Rico. Calliandra pilosa is a synonym of C. haematomma var. glabrata.

Conservation

Calliandra pilosa was assessed as "vulnerable" for the 1998 IUCN [Red List]., C. pilosa was regarded as a synonym of Calliandra haematomma var. glabrata. It is endemic to southeastern Jamaica.
