Boy from the Never Never

Boy from the Never Never is a 1949 Australia radio feature about soil erosion by D'arcy Niland.
The broadcast was attacked in Federal Parliament for being blasphemous. It was defended by the ABC and Arthur Calwell, the relevant minister.
The Adelaide News called it " a remarkable piece of work... The play was too disturbing to be called entertainment, but entertainment was not its mission. I found the build-up a little drawn out, but the message itself packed a terrific punch, was well presented and' exceedingly well written."

Premise

"The story of Jimmy Perry, an ignorant aboriginal boy, who sees a vision of Christ, who tells Jimmy that it is his mission to warn Australia of the problem of its dust-bowl."
