Bernard Farcy


Bernard Farcy is a French actor who has starred in over 70 plays, television series and films.
He is best known for his role as Commissaire Gérard Gibert in Luc Besson's action-comedy franchise Taxi, as well as his appearances in national box-office successes such as Marche à l'ombre, The Three Brothers, Brotherhood of the Wolf, and Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra, the latter of which has attained cult status in France.
Farcy's performances in more somber movies have also been noted — to the likes of Our Story, Le Solitaire, and Let Sleeping Cops Lie. His interpretation of statesman Charles de Gaulle in the 2006 TV mini-series Le Grand Charles earned him a nomination for the International Emmy Award for Best Actor.
