Belarusian Solidarity


Belarusian Solidarity is a non-governmental organization based in Brno, Czech Republic. Founded on 17 October 2024, it is the first registered Belarusian NGO in Brno.

History

Belarusian Solidarity was officially registered on 17 October 2024 in Brno, Czech Republic.

Activities

The organization is involved in organizing public campaigns, lectures, and educational programs. It provides informational support to Belarusians in the South Moravian Region and cooperates with local Czech authorities. In 2025, activists of the NGO conducted a campaign regarding visa restrictions in the Czech Republic. The organization also carries out initiatives to support Belarusian culture and the local community, including:Mova Nanova – Belarusian language courses for beginners and advanced learners.Freedom Day – Annual events held on 25 March in support of Belarusian democracy and independence.Kalyady and Kupala – Traditional Belarusian folk festivals celebrated in a modern format.Brno North – A cycle of Belarusian film screenings in local cinemas.Brno South – Informal Belarusian language meetings.

Emblem

The organization uses an emblem featuring the "Pahonia" rider. The graphic version is based on the banner of Sigismund Korybut, which he carried during his campaign in Moravia in the 15th century.
