Beitima
Beitima or Beit Tima is a Syrian village in the Qatana District of the Rif Dimashq Governorate. According to the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics, Beitima had a population of 3,366 in the 2004 census. Its inhabitants are predominantly Sunni Muslims.
History
In 1838, Eli Smith noted Beitima's population as Sunni Muslim.During the Syrian Civil War, the village was the site of several prominent clashes between pro and anti-regime forces. It was described as being a predominantly Druze village by this point.
