Zanticus succeeded him as king of the Iazyges.EtymologyThe name is recorded in Greek as Βαναδασπος by Dio Cassius. It is reconstructed as *Wanadasp, deriving from the Sarmatian language, and means “possessing winning/conquering horses.”
