Badr University
The Badr University in Cairo is a private higher education institution located in Badr, Cairo Governorate, Egypt. Established in 2014, BUC offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across health sciences, engineering, business, arts and humanities, and other fields. The university positions itself as a student-centred institution with an emphasis on employability, international collaboration and practical training.
History
The Badr University in Cairo was inaugurated in 2014 as part of development initiatives by the Cairo for Investment & Real Estate Development group to expand into higher education. The campus was planned on a suburban site in Badr City to provide modern facilities and a less congested academic environment compared with central Cairo.In its strategic planning documents for 2022–2027, the university set out goals to increase research capacity, international partnerships, innovation and community engagement.
