BFL Group, founded in 1996 by Toufic Kreidieh and Yasser Beydoun. It is based in the United Arab Emirates has more than 120 stores across seven markets in the GCC and Southeast Asia.
History
The BFL Group was co-founded by Toufic Kreidieh and Yasser Beydoun in 1996. The headquarters were established in Dubai in 2000, and its first store was launched in 2006.In May 2021, BFL Group reported an increase in online sales during the first four months of 2021 compared to the same period in 2020.
During 2022, the company expanded its presence in the GCC, opening new stores in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar. In December 2022, BFL Group inaugurated its first Flagship store in the BFL shopping centre in Motor City, Dubai.
In September 2023, the company invested $16 million to open its first Saudi logistics centre at Sudair City.
In August 2024, BFL Group sold a 35% stake to The TJX Companies, Inc. for $360 million, valuing it at $1.2 billion and aiming for further expansion into the GCC region.
Innovation and digital transformation
In February 2021, BFL Group partnered with Emirates Electrical Engineering to install a 958 kW rooftop solar power system—comprising approximately 2,040 panels across two warehouses in the UAE—that generates an estimated 1.6 million kWh annually and reduces carbon emissions by about 700 metric tonnes.In February 2022, IQ Robotics and BFL Group expanded their partnership by deploying 156 robots at BFL’s JAFZA facility under a multi-million-dollar agreement. Aimed at automating warehouse operations, increasing efficiency, and supporting BFL’s fast‑growing e‑commerce and retail logistics needs
In September 2023, IQ Robotics and BFL Group began a joint project to support BFL Group’s operations in Saudi Arabia. The initiative includes the deployment of 130 robots to assist with order processing and plans for a Centre of Excellence in Riyadh.
On March 8, 2025, Brands For Less Group announced a strategic partnership with Google Cloud.
