BCI Asia Top 10 Awards
The BCI Asia Top 10 Awards is an annual event that recognizes the achievements in the construction and design industry of Asia. Since its inception in 2003, it has been held in seven countries: Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The awards are presented to developers, contractors, and architecture firms in the region.
History
The BCI Asia Awards are presented to the top ten developers and architects whose projects under construction had the greatest aggregate value in the past year. This aggregate value was adjusted based on sustainability factors, as determined by BCI Asia’s project research and green building ratings from WGBC-accredited certifications. BCI Asia’s evaluation methodology places emphasis on industrial, commercial office, and hospitality projects, which can increase the likelihood of firms with such portfolios receiving Top Ten Awards. The awards were established by Arlene "Apple" Agapay Patricio, a business analyst in Southeast Asia who is currently a financial consultant in the Philippines.
