Aries Peak


Aries Peak is a mountain in the Waputik Mountains, a subrange of the Canadian Rockies. It is located west of the Icefields Parkway, above Chephren Lake, on the continental divide between Alberta and British Columbia.
Aries Peak was named in 1918 by Arthur O. Wheeler for the sheep seen on its slopes.

Climate

Based on the Köppen climate classification, Aries Peak is located in a subarctic climate zone with cold, snowy winters, and mild summers. Temperatures can drop below −20 °C with wind chill factors below −30 °C.
