Argument About Basia is a Polish novel by Kornel Makuszyński, written in 1936, but released one year later.
Plot
The book tells the story of a little orphan girl, Basia, sent by train alone after her mother's death. When a piece of paper with the address of Basia's guardians is destroyed, Basia is taken by an actor who managed to read the address and takes the girl there. But he turns out to be wrong...The book's first English translation appeared in 2025.
