Angaria (gastropod)


Angaria is a genus of sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the family Angariidae. Angaria is the only genus in the family Angariidae.

Taxonomy

According to the taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005, Angaria belongs in the subfamily Angariinae, within the family Turbinidae. Williams et al. moved Angaria to the family Angariidae within the newly created superfamily Angarioidea.
