Anambra State Ministry of Health
Charged with the administration of healthcare in Anambra State, Nigeria, the State Ministry of Health regulates services, coordinates health programs, and supervises medical facilities. A core function of the ministry is to develop and implement policies that improve public health and guarantee access to essential care for everyone in the state. The ministry is located at the Ground floor New Secretariat Complex in Awka.
Leadership
The ministry is headed by a Commissioner, who is responsible for directing its day-to-day operations. The Permanent Secretary provides administrative leadership by guiding the implementation of government policies and ensuring that the ministry's activities follow established public-sector procedures. This role also involves overseeing major programmes, contributing to policy development, and coordinating long-term strategies and plans within the ministry.
