Amauris echeria


Amauris echeria, the chief, is a butterfly of the family Nymphalidae. It is found in southern Africa.
The wingspan is 55–65 mm for males and 63–70 for females. Adults are on wing year round.
The larvae feed on Tylophora anomala, Tylophora stolzii, Cynanchum chirindense, Gymnema, Marsdenia and Secamone.
