Alpine cool-skink


The alpine cool-skink '', also known commonly as the northern snow skink, is a species of lizard in the family Scincidae. The species is endemic to Tasmania in Australia.

Etymology

The specific name, greeni, is in honor of Tasmanian ornithologist Bob [Green (naturalist)|Robert "Bob" Green].

Habitat

The preferred natural habitats of C. greeni are rocky areas and freshwater wetlands, at altitudes higher than, above the tree line.

Reproduction

C. greeni is ovoviviparous. Litter size is two or three newborns.
