Almond Valley

Almond Valley is a county constituency of the Scottish Parliament covering part of the council area of West Lothian. It elects one Member of the Scottish Parliament by the plurality method of election. Since the seat was created in 2011 it has also been one of nine constituencies in the Lothian electoral region, which elects seven additional members, in addition to the nine constituency MSPs, to produce a form of proportional representation for the region as a whole. Following the second periodic review of Scottish Parliament boundaries, Almond Valley will form part of the Central Scotland and Lothians West from the 2026 Scottish Parliament election onwards.
The constituency was formed for the 2011 Scottish Parliament election, covering much of the old Livingston constituency. It is named for the River Almond which flows through Livingston. Since being formed the seat has been held by Angela Constance of the Scottish National Party, who was formerly the MSP for Livingston.
