Alfred Cockayne
Alfred Hyde Cockayne was a New Zealand botanist, agricultural scientist and administrator. He was born in Dunedin, or Oamaru, New Zealand, on 23 May 1880. He was the son of another noted botanist Leonard Cockayne.
