Al-Hamdaniya District

Al-Hamdaniya District is a district in the north-east of the Nineveh Governorate of Iraq. The district as well as the districts of Tel Keppe and Shekhan make up the Nineveh Plains region.
Al-Hamdaniya District is divided between four sub-districts:Aski Kalak - mostly Kurdish, some Assyrians and Yazidis al-Namrud - mostly Arab and Turkmen, some Kaka'is, Shabak and AssyrianBartillah - mostly Assyrian, some Shabak, Arab and TurkmenQaraqosh - mostly Assyrians, some Arabs, Shabak, Turkmen and Kaka'is
