Al-Asharinah


Al-Asharinah is a Syrian village located in the Tell [Salhab Subdistrict] of the al-Suqaylabiyah District in Hama Governorate. According to the Central [Bureau of Statistics (Syria)|Syria Central Bureau of Statistics], al-Asharinah had a population of 6,347 in the 2004 census. Its inhabitants are predominantly Sunni Muslims. During the Syrian [civil war|Syrian Civil War] the residents of the town were displaced by the Syrian government and resettled by Alawites who had been driven out of the Ishtabraq village near Idlib.
