Agnès Fienga
Agnès Fienga is a French astronomer working at the Observatoire de la Côte d'Azur.
She is active in the field of planetary ephemerides generation and is a member of the International Astronomical Union. She collaborated with Dr. E. Myles Standish in research on the asteroids and their impact on the orbital motions. Fienga is also interested in using planetary motions to test gravitational theories. She has recently processed Cassini ranging data and identified an anomalous motion in Saturn's orbit, according to the results by Dr. Elena V. Pitjeva.
Since 2023, she is also involved in planetary geophysics. Agnès and her group gave new arguments in favor of the existence of the Moon's solid inner core by considering the combined effects of tides on the Moon's orientation and surface deformations.
She is member of the radio-science team on board of the Bepi-Colombo mission and the Juice mission.
According to Google Scholar, her h-index as of 2025 is 43.
