Acquired is a podcast by Ben Gilbert and David Rosenthal about business history and strategy. As of 2024, the podcast has more than 600,000 monthly listeners.

History

Gilbert and Rosenthal worked together at Madrona Venture Group an American venture capital firm and initially had an idea for making a podcast about company acquisitions that became pivotal to the success of the acquiring company. The first episode discussed Pixar and was published in 2015. Over time, the show expanded beyond the acquisition topic to cover business history more generally.
In July 2025, Acquired hosted a live event in Radio City Music Hall that featured J.P. Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon and other guests.
