The low spreading shrub typically grows to a height of It has cylindrical and tapering branchlets that can be quite hairy. Like most species of Acacia it has phyllodes rather than true leaves. The cylindrical evergreen phyllodes are slightly to strongly incurved but can occasionally be quite straight. The thick and glabrous phyllodes have a length of and a diameter of and have 12 to 16 longitudinal fine raised nerves. It blooms from July to September and produces yellow flowers.
