History
ADAM Audio was founded in 1999 in Berlin, Germany. starting with the development of their eXtended Accelerating Ribbon Technology tweeter, based on the invention of the Air Motional Transformer by Oskar Heil in the 1960's. The acronym "ADAM" is also a reference to the Biblical figures Adam and Eve.The Berlin based factory currently employs a staff of 55; the company is represented in more than 75 countries. Their parent company is the Focusrite Group.
