A. Z. M. Shafiuddin Shamim

Abu Zafar Mohammod is a Bangladeshi politician and businessman. He is chairman of SQ Group, a business founded by his father in 1961.

Personal life

Shamim was born on 10 January 1969 in Barura Upazila, Cumilla. He completed his primary-level education at a district school. He completed H.S.C. at Comilla Government College. and B.Com. completed at Dhaka University. He was completed MBA degree from the University of the West of Scotland.

Career

Shamim is the vice president of the Comilla South District Awami League. He was submitted his nomination form to contest the Jatiya Sangsad election in Comilla-8 on 18 November 2023. He was elected to chairman of SBAC Bank in 2023. He was elected to the Bangladesh Parliament from Comilla-8.
