2023 Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team


The 2023 Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team represented the University of Notre Dame as an independent during the 2023 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Led by second-year head coach Marcus Freeman, the Fighting Irish compiled a record of 10–3. The season was highlighted by a blowout home win over No. 10 [2023 2023 USC Trojans football team|USC Trojans football team|USC] and a victory in the Sun Bowl against No. 19 [2023 2023 Oregon State Beavers football team|Oregon State Beavers football team|Oregon State]. The team played its home games at Notre Dame Stadium in Notre Dame, Indiana and drew an average home attendance of 77,622.
