The 2017 Shenzhen Open was a women's tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the fifth edition of the WTA [Shenzhen Open|Shenzhen Open], and part of the WTA International tournaments of the 2017 WTA Tour. It took place at the Shenzhen Longgang Sports Center in Shenzhen, China, from 1 January to 7 January 2017. Unseeded Kateřina Siniaková won the singles title.
