2012 Iowa State Cyclones football team


The 2012 Iowa State Cyclones football team represented Iowa State University as a member of Big 12 Conference during the 2012 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Led by fourth-year head coach Paul Rhoads, the Cyclones compiled an overall record of 6–7 with a mark of 3–6 in conference play, placing ninth in the Big 12. Iowa State was invited to the Liberty Bowl, where the Cyclones lost to [2012 2012 Tulsa Golden Hurricane football team|Tulsa Golden Hurricane football team|Tulsa], a team they had defeated in the season opener. The team played home games at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames, Iowa.
