1967 South American Championship
The 1967 South American Football Championship was won by hosts Uruguay, with Argentina finished second. Brazil and Peru withdrew from the tournament. It was the first tournament in which Venezuela participated. It would be the last time the tournament would be known as the South American Football Championship before being rebranded to Copa América, and the last time it would be formatted as a round-robin tournament.
