1967 Iowa Hawkeyes football team
The 1967 Iowa Hawkeyes football team was an American football team that represented the University of Iowa as a member of the Big Ten Conference during the 1967 Big Ten football season. In their second year under head coach Ray Nagel, the Hawkeyes compiled a 1–8–1 record, finished in last place in the Big Ten, and were outscored by a total of 277 to 161.
The 1967 Hawkeyes gained 1,294 rushing yards and 1,748 passing yards. On defense, they gave up 2,544 rushing yards and 1,311 passing yards.
The team's statistical leaders included quarterback Ed Podolak, Silas McKinnie, Al Bream, Rod Barnhart, and Steve Wilson. McKinnie and defensive back Tony Williams were the team captains. McKinnie was selected as the team's most valuable player.
