1959 All-America college football team
The 1959 All-America college football team is composed of college football players who were selected as All-Americans by various organizations and writers that chose All-America college football teams in 1959. The six selectors recognized by the NCAA as "official" for the 1959 season are the American Football Coaches Association, the Associated Press, the Football Writers Association of America, the Newspaper Enterprise Association, The Sporting News, and the United Press International.
Billy Cannon of [1959 1959 LSU Tigers football team|LSU Tigers football team|LSU], Charlie Flowers of Ole Miss, Dan Lanphear of [1959 1959 Wisconsin Badgers football team|Wisconsin Badgers football team|Wisconsin], and Roger Davis of [1959 1959 Syracuse Orangemen football team|Syracuse Orangemen football team|Syracuse] were the only four players to be unanimously named first-team All-Americans by all six official selectors. Cannon won the 1959 Heisman Trophy.
