1958 New York gubernatorial election
The 1958 New York gubernatorial election was held on November 8, 1958, to elect the Governor and Governor of New York. Incumbent Democratic governor W. Averell Harriman ran for re-election to a second term in office but was defeated by Republican Nelson Rockefeller.
