Elections to Liverpool City Council were held on Wednesday 1 November 1922.
One third of the council seats were up for election. The term of office for each councillor being three years.
Thirteen of the thirty-six seats up for election were uncontested.

Caused by the death of Alderman Richard DartCouncillor John Edwards was elected by the councillors as an alderman on 7 February 1923.
Aldermanic Election 7 March 1923
Caused by the death of Alderman Louis Samuel Cohen. In his place Councillor Thomas Dowd, Fruit Merchant of "Meadowside", Mount Road, Upton, Wirral was elected by the councillors as an alderman on 7 March 1923.
