1897 Dutch general election

General elections were held in the Netherlands on 15 June 1897, with a second round in 50 constituencies on 25 June. The Liberal Union remained the largest party, winning 38 of the 100 seats in the House of [Representatives of the Netherlands|House of Representatives].

Electoral system

The 100 seats in the House of Representatives were elected in single-member constituencies using the two-round system.
