ÄŒernÃky
ÄŒernÃky is a municipality and village in KolÃn District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 200 inhabitants.
Etymology
The initial name of the village was ÄŒrmnÃky, meaning "the village of ÄŒrmnÃks ". By distorting and simplifying the pronunciation, the name ÄŒernÃky gradually arose. The name ÄŒernÃky was first documented in 1654.Geography
ÄŒernÃky is located about west of KolÃn and east of Prague. It lies in a flat agricultural landscape in the Central Elbe Table. In the eastern tip of the municipal territory is a fishpond, supplied by the brook Kounický potok.History
The first written mention of ÄŒernÃky is from 1293.From 1 January 2021, ÄŒernÃky is no longer a part of Nymburk District and belongs to KolÃn District.
