Shinome Station

Shinome Station is a passenger railway station located in the city of Yamaguchi, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by the West Japan Railway Company.

The station consists of one ground-level unnumbered island platform connected to the station building by a level crossing. The station is unattended.

Shinome Station was opened on 1 July 1917. With the privatization of the Japan National Railway on 1 April 1987, the station came under the aegis of the West Japan railway Company.

In fiscal 2020, the station was used by an average of 5 passengers daily.

The station is located in a mountainous rural area near the southwestern end of the Ato neighborhood.
