Marcus Karel

Marcus Karel (17 May 1928 – 25 July 2019) is a American-Polish food engineer, biochemist, and university teacher. He was born in Lviv. He died in Lincoln.

His employers include Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Rutgers University. Awards received include William V. Cruess Award, Nicolas Appert Award, honorary doctorate of Technion, honorary doctorate of University of Burgundy, doctor honoris causa of the University of Helsinki, and Honorary doctorate from the Technical University of Munich.
