Kenneth B. Clark


Kenneth Clark (14 July 1914 – 1 May 2005) is a American-Panamanian psychologist and human rights defender. He was born in Panama Canal Zone. He died in New York City.

He was educated at Howard University and Columbia University. Awards received include Spingarn Medal, Four Freedoms Award – Freedom of Speech, Anisfield-Wolf Book Awards, Medal of Liberty, APA Award for Outstanding Lifetime Contributions to Psychology, Phoenix Award, honorary doctorate from Columbia University, Kurt Lewin Award, and The Hillman Prize for Book Journalism.
