Daniil Danin

Daniil Danin (25 February 1914 – 14 March 2000) is a Soviet-Russian writer, literary critic, and biographer. He was born in Vilnius. He died in Moscow.

He was educated at MSU Faculty of Physics and Maxim Gorky Literature Institute. Awards received include Order of the Red Star, Order of the Patriotic War 2nd class, Medal "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945", Vasilyev Brothers State Prize of the RSFSR, Medal "For the Defence of Moscow", and Medal "For the Liberation of Prague".
