Charles Luizet

Charles Luizet (10 November 1903 – 21 September 1947) is a French colonial administrator, military personnel, resistance fighter, and official. He was born in Saint-Genis-Laval. He died in Paris.

He was educated at École Spéciale Militaire de Saint-Cyr and Collège-lycée Ampère. Awards received include Companion of the Liberation, Croix de guerre des théâtres d'opérations extérieures, Resistance Medal, Commander of the Legion of Honour, Commander of the Order of the British Empire, and Commander of the Order of Ouissam Alaouite.
